Job Opportunity: Electronic Math Modeler II

Roush is seeking a skilled Electronic Math Modeler II to join our team. As a key member of our design engineering team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating design projects, interpreting design sketches, and creating digital surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate design proposal meetings to establish closure on outstanding program issues using ICEMsurf, Catia, and TCe.
  • Develop complex concept layouts and designs, utilizing internal or external 3D models, clay models, and sketches.
  • Create Class A surfaces that conform to G2 and G3 tolerances, while maintaining design highlights.
  • Model simple or complex parts, as well as dependent components, using ICEMsurf and Catia.
  • Apply Six Sigma principles and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for assemblies and dependent components.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience using Catia and ICEMsurf.
  • Minimum 5 years of Class A surfacing experience with the application of engineering feasibility in creating and editing aesthetic surfaces.
  • Advanced skills in ICEMsurf, Catia, and TCe.
  • Excellent knowledge of studio workflow through all aspects of the ideation, feasibility, manufacturing, and production phases.
