Job Summary

The North Clackamas School District is seeking a skilled Paraeducator II to support our English Language Development (ELD) program. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with teachers, students, and families to provide instructional support and promote academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers with instruction, assessment, and curriculum management in core content areas.
  • Support students who are acquiring English with explicit language development instruction and tutoring.
  • Translate and interpret for bilingual families in-person, over the phone, and through email.
  • Establish relationships with bilingual families to support communication regarding student progress and academic achievement.
Requirements
  • Successful experience working with culturally diverse families and communities.
  • Meets the District assessment of bilingual skills in the required language(s).
  • Successful completion of an Associate's Degree or two years of post-high school education.
  • Meets District and/or ESD certification requirements to translate and interpret.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in an appropriate and related field of study.
  • Two years of experience working with children in a learning environment.
  • Licensed or certified translator/interpreter.
