About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Ascension. As a Surgical Technologist II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating suite with sterile drapes, solutions, and instruments, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for surgical procedures.
  • Hand instruments and supplies to surgeons during surgery, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and precision.
  • Assist with patient preparation, transportation, and positioning, ensuring the patient's comfort and safety.
  • Monitor and track instrument counts throughout procedures, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association, obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Certified Surgical Tech credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, preferred.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of Surgical Technician Program or Military Specialty Training required.
  • Minimum one year of related experience required.
