The Technical Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in delivering technical sales assistance and formulating project requirements for client approval. Key Responsibilities
As a subject matter expert on the Swisslog Software Product Suite, the Technical Solutions Architect will:
- Understand the customization needs for each functional area.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Swisslog Controls Product Suite.
- Provide technical sales support through:
- Conducting software demonstrations.
- Leading presentations on software and controls.
- Offering consultations and attending design and risk reviews.
- Estimate software and controls hours and costs.
- Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with clients and produce:
- Functional Specifications.
- Host Interface Specifications.
- Maintain materials for sales support and requirements gathering.
Results Orientation
The Technical Solutions Architect is responsible for delivering:
- Functional and Host Interface Specifications for every assigned project that are:
- Compliant with the Swisslog process landscape.
- Clear, concise, and complete.
- Delivered on time and within budget.
- Of high quality.
Technical and Commercial Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
- In-depth knowledge of the Swisslog Software and Controls Product Suite operations and functionalities.
- Awareness of the latest software releases and upcoming features.
- Familiarity with the Swisslog Process Landscape and project delivery efforts for varying complexities.
Customer Focus
Accountability for internal and external customer commitments is crucial. Responsibilities include:
- Accurately recording customer requirements.
- Building strong relationships with customers.
- Striving to deliver optimal solutions while minimizing costs and risks.
Analytical Thinking and Decision Making
The Technical Solutions Architect will:
- Make informed and timely decisions considering associated risks.
- Formulate objectives and plans that align with team and organizational needs.
- Guide customers towards the best solutions based on gathered information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- At least five years of experience in Software and/or Controls solutions.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and Material Flow Control Systems.
- Experience with PLC controls and control logic.
