Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team at V2X. As a key member of our environmental program, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain environmental compliance programs, including drinking water, air emissions, natural resources, and hazardous materials.
  • Provide technical guidance on environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and review environmental reports, assessments, and data.
  • Oversee environmental permitting, project planning, implementation, and administration.
  • Assist in providing excellent customer service to military installation activities.
  • Provide high-level expertise for completion of external and internal environmental audits.
  • Oversee environmental training programs for all site personnel.
  • Organize deliverables, environmental records, and files as per contract requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in environmental science, engineering, biology, chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a DoD Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain one.
  • Experience working with military and/or federal, state, or local government customer base.
  • Preferred knowledge with NEPA process, air quality, drinking water treatment and analysis, storage tank compliance, refrigerant management, hazardous waste management with toxic substances such as asbestos, lead-based paint, and PCBs.
Working Environment

This position will be primarily based in an office setting, with occasional travel to OCONUS locations. The selected candidate will be exposed to extreme cold when working outdoors and extended periods of darkness due to geographic location.

Physical Activities
  • Walking and standing during environmental inspections and site visits.
  • Bending, crouching, climbing ladders and stairs, and reaching to collect samples or inspect equipment.
  • Lifting and carrying environmental monitoring equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Sitting for extended periods to review and document findings.
