Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cisco Voice Network Specialist to join our team at Nisga'a CIOPS. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of our VoIP systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply current industry standards and best practices of hosted, physical or virtual on premises VoIP systems for review, evaluation, and solutions for VoIP performance improvement, problem resolution, and proactive techniques to prevent VoIP and network performance issues as well as proven VoIP and VoIP related documentation practices.
  • Be responsible for project planning and management (e.g., new system design, installations, upgrades) involving multiple sites.
  • Write and maintain accurate system documentation, system specifications, system requirements, project plans, presentations, correspondence, studies, reports, cost models and training materials.
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices used in the design of LANs, WANs and VoIP systems.
  • Must possess the skills required for project planning and management (e.g., new system design, installations, upgrades) involving multiple sites.
  • Possess an in-depth experience in the design of VoIP systems consisting of several thousand users and multiple sites.
  • Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers served and associated support personnel.
  • Ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical personnel.
Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three years' experience in network security solutions such as Cisco ASA, or other firewall technologies.
  • Minimum five years' experience in networking and voice communication systems, with at least 2 years' experience specifically with Cisco VoIP systems.
  • Experience working with VLANs, TCP/IP networking and routing, VoIP and Communications Services, Gigabit Ethernet switching, wired and wireless Ethernet networking.
  • Experience in writing and maintaining accurate system documentation, system specifications, system requirements, project plans, presentations, correspondence, studies, reports, cost models and training materials.
  • Possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
