Mental Health Therapist

Canopy Children's Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate MYPAC Therapist to join our team. As a MYPAC Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering mental health services to children and families in need.
Job Summary:The MYPAC Therapist will be responsible for providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions, as well as substance abuse treatment and crisis management. You will work closely with the MYPAC Wraparound Facilitator to address client mental health service needs and develop a comprehensive treatment plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct admission evaluations and develop a Preliminary Action Plan within 24 hours of admission.
- Complete programmatic assessments and use feedback to plan for clinical interventions with clients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with the youth, family, and Wraparound Facilitator.
- Co-facilitate the initial Child and Family Team meeting and ongoing monthly meetings.
- Monitor and document progress toward treatment goals and implement clinical treatment interventions as needed.
- Provide individual therapy sessions, family therapy sessions, and medication monitoring as required.
- Attend scheduled psychological evaluations, psychiatric reviews, and medication management telemed appointments.
- Work collaboratively with the youth, family, and staff psychiatrist to modify clinical interventions and treatment plans as needed.
- Attend clinical staffing with the staff psychiatrist or nurse practitioner and provide quality assurance activities as assigned.
- Valid and current mental health certification (PCMHT or CMHT) and/or license (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMFTA) within 30 days of employment.
- Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related behavioral health field required.
- At least two years of clinical experience working with children and youth with serious emotional disturbances and families with complex needs in a similar or more restrictive placement environment.
