About the Position
  • As a School Social Worker/Counselor, you will conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions to help students and their families overcome personal and environmental challenges that hinder their psychosocial development.
  • You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Our multidisciplinary team includes experienced clinicians, educators, and support staff who are dedicated to delivering exceptional care and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • A Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field is required, along with 2+ years of relevant work experience or experience in a non-public setting.
  • Candidates must hold current Maryland State licensure as a LCSW-C, LMSW, LCPC, or LGPC by time of hire and throughout tenure in position.
  • Social Workers working in schools are required to have active MSDE certification as a School Social Worker at time of appointment or must apply for MSDE SW certification within 30 days of accepting a School Social Worker assignment.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • An estimated salary range of $70,000-$90,000 per year, based on location and experience.
