Multifamily Painter

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at The Lumen, a multifamily property managed by Hines. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the interior and exterior surfaces of our buildings are well-maintained and visually appealing.

• Respond to work orders and instructions from supervisors to complete painting and wall repair tasks.
• Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures.
• Install drywall, float, and finish surfaces to a high standard.
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler materials.
• Select premixed paints or mix required portions to prepare paint that matches specified colors.
• Remove fixtures, such as pictures and electric switch covers, from walls prior to painting.
• Spread drop cloths over floors and room furnishings, and cover surfaces with masking tape and paper to protect them during painting.
• Paint surfaces using brushes, spray guns, or paint rollers.
• Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
• Hang wallpaper and fabrics.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Two or more years of direct experience in painting and wall finishing.
• Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to use olfactory, auditory, and visual senses.
• Lift 25 lbs. or more.
• Climb up and down stairs and ladders.
• Access remote work areas and confined spaces.
• Use full range of manual dexterity.
• Meet shift working requirements, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate.
