Position Summary

The E4B finance team is in search of a Senior Financial Analyst to bolster the expanding Media Solutions (MeSo) sector. This role is dedicated to optimizing the returns from Expedia Group's travel audience and delivering financial insights for both short-term forecasts and long-term strategic planning.

The individual in this role will provide essential decision-making support and will be responsible for forward-looking revenue forecasts, comprehensive business analysis, and ad hoc reporting.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the MeSo Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Finance Manager and act as a vital business partner to leaders across the MeSo organization, including Sales, Strategy, and Product. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Sales leaders to provide analytical support throughout the sales forecasting process.
  • Serving as the primary contact for support functions regarding process enhancements, research, analysis, and reporting.
  • Preparing monthly management reports that highlight significant insights and drivers related to marketing contract expenditures.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders in Lodging and Commercial Strategy to support business cases and expenditure requests.
  • Translating current business drivers to develop quarterly forecasts and annual plans.
  • Sharing best practices across the team to enhance effectiveness and contribute to team success.
  • Becoming an authority on Media Solutions and effectively communicating business performance across the organization.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A BA/BS degree; CPA or MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar financial or analytical capacity.
  • Strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of financial budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • A consultative, data-driven approach to business challenges and process improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage with all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A keen attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential, with a working knowledge of VBA preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, and Essbase is advantageous.
