Job Summary

UCHealth is seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at the UCHlth Eye Center Aurora. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in the care of patients and the flow of clinical activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist eye care providers in patient care and clinical activities
  • Perform basic optometric testing procedures, diagnostic testing, and tasks delegated by the eye care provider
  • Assist with minor procedures and prescription refill process under the direction of the eye care provider
  • Document patient information, provide education, and enter charges
  • Contribute to the smooth flow of patient care
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ophthalmic Medical Assisting Independent Study Course or JCAHPO Career Advancement Tool (JCAT) within two years of hire
  • Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) within 30 days of hire or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
