Accounting Role Summary

The Accounting Assistant at OCI Hospitality is responsible for providing financial support to our hotel properties and corporate accounting team. This role involves performing various accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations, sales tax processing, and accounts payable management.

The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities. The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year.


Main Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of bank reconciliations for designated properties.
  2. Processing and filing of sales tax documents to ensure timely submission and accuracy.
  3. Entry, review, and approval of invoices in the accounts payable system, verifying correct coding and data transfer.
  4. Review and selection of payments from open accounts payable invoices, followed by submission of payment files for check processing.
  5. Online or ACH payment processing as required.
  6. Preparation of 1099s in accordance with IRS regulations.
  7. Vendor communication management related to accounts payable.
  8. Assistance with corporate credit card program administration, including statement sending, transaction review, and payment processing.
  9. Support for daily reporting and ad-hoc analysis within accounting systems.

Requirements
  • 0-2 years of relevant accounting and/or bookkeeping experience.
  • Ability to manage high-volume work under time constraints.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Annual Travel Percentage
  • Up to 5%.
