Job Overview
The Master Data Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our master data, ensuring that our data assets are reliable and accessible across the organization.
This involves creating and maintaining master data, monitoring data quality metrics, conducting data cleansing, and identifying and resolving discrepancies in master data. The analyst will also maintain thorough documentation of data definitions, data sources, and data lineage to support transparency and understanding of master data throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Data Management: Entry, maintenance, and quality control of master data across various systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Data Governance: Collaborate with data governance lead to establish data standards, policies, and procedures that align with organizational goals.
- Data Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and data quality assessments to identify discrepancies, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports and dashboards to monitor data quality metrics and trends, presenting findings to stakeholders and recommending improvements.
Requirements
- Associate degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related field, with a focus on master data governance preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a focus on data quality.
- Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., ERP systems, MDM tools) and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SQL is a plus.
