About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team as a Sous Chef at Ohio Living Breckenridge Village. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents, while also ensuring that meals are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Culinary Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Ensure that all food is prepared and served in accordance with quality standards and sanitary regulations.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our residents.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of food and supplies, including ordering and receiving, to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and that waste is minimized.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of quality in all aspects of food preparation and service, including presentation, taste, and temperature.

Requirements

  • Experience: One year of quantity or restaurant-style cooking experience, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, and presentation.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Knowledge of food, cooking methods, and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, and presentation. Experience with food cost and operational control, point of sale, and diet management software preferred.
