About the Role
Amazon is seeking an experienced User Experience (UX) Designer to join our Device Operations Technology and Software (DOTS) team. As a UX Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our software and business solutions.

About the Team
The DOTS team is dedicated to delivering scalable infrastructure for future challenges within DeviceOps. We collaborate with various Amazon teams to develop product strategies that enhance optimization and efficiency within DeviceOps. Our team harnesses science, data engineering, business intelligence, and UX design expertise to develop innovative solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for designing exceptional UX for business application systems, with strong ideation skills, holistic design thinking, attention to detail, and passion for making difficult tasks into simple and delightful experiences for the user. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Designing end-to-end user experiences that meet customer needs and expectations
  • Conducting user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations
  • Collaborating with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals
  • Iterating designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and data analysis

About You
We are looking for a talented UX Designer with 8+ years of experience in designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar. You should have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices. Additionally, you should have experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps.

What We Offer
As a UX Designer at Amazon, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with a talented team, and learn from industry experts. We offer a competitive salary of $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience, plus a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement planning, and paid time off. The ideal candidate will be able to work in San Diego, CA, Seattle, WA, or Sunnyvale, CA.
