Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Records Technician to join our team at Canon U.S.A., Inc. As a Records Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and retrieving company records, verifying and documenting records stored by following established cataloging systems, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize files, ensuring they are properly logged and stored in a secure location.
  • Retrieve files from the Records Center for client use as requested, and deliver files to clients within established time frames.
  • Prepare files to be sent for storage, and arrange for files to be retrieved from storage as needed.
  • Evaluate the current cataloging system for completeness, efficiency, and usefulness, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Shift files to accommodate needed space as required.
  • Create files through data entry into file tracking software, and apply labels to folders.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-1 years' experience working with records.
  • Knowledge of records software systems, scanners, filing, storage, and disposal procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially when using records tracking systems for quick retrieval, filing, and storage of files.
  • Excellent customer service, professional attitude, and appearance are a must.
  • Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.
