Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nutrition Associate I to join our team at NorthBay Health. As a Nutrition Associate I, you will play a critical role in maintaining state and federally mandated standards of safety and cleanliness while performing tasks related to food preparation, sanitation, and patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold food to patients and staff
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the kitchen and patient care areas
  • Assist with tray-line meal assembly, delivery, and retrieval
  • Stock patient nourishment rooms, other patient care areas, and physician lounge
  • Prepare and serve retail and catering food
  • Operate a cash register and handle customer transactions
  • Receive, inventory, and stock food and supplies
  • Ensure therapeutic diet and allergen accuracy in the delivery of service
Requirements
  • High school graduate preferred
  • Current Safe Food Handler's certificate required
  • One-year food service experience, within the last 3 years, with hot and cold food production and customer service required
  • Healthcare or institutional food service experience preferred
