Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Clinician to join our OBGYN Outpatient team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our healthcare team, and contribute to the achievement of our department's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the OBGYN Outpatient clinic, following established standards and practices.
  • Administer prescribed medications, vaccines, treatments, and procedures in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
  • Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to medications and treatments to physicians.
  • Dispense medication as directed and maintain accurate and legible documentation.
  • Screen patients for appropriate information, instruct patients in the collection of samples and tests, and perform patient telephone triage.
  • Assist in supervising other clinical staff, educate patients and families about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness, and participate in quality control functions.
  • Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, attend required meetings, and participate in committees as requested.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • 1-2 years of professional nursing experience, with at least 1 year of telephone triage, pediatric experience, and previous use of electronic medical records.
  • Current RN licensure in the District of Columbia or Compact State licensure.
  • CPR certification for healthcare providers from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
