Key Responsibilities
In this executive role, you will:
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of clients.
- Compose comprehensive credit narratives.
- Establish loan classifications.
- Make decisions on credit applications (approve, modify, or deny within your credit authority).
- Determine and/or recommend loan structures and conditions.
- Participate in the Credit Loan Committee.
- Engage in relationship management with clients.
- Guide and mentor junior credit analysts.

Essential Duties
Job Functions include:
- Loan Request Evaluation (70%): Assess the creditworthiness of borrowers by developing and analyzing financial projections based on customer data, evaluating capital, capacity, collateral, character, conditions, and management ability, and identifying potential risks associated with proposed loans.
- Credit Loan Committee Participation (5%): Serve on the Credit Loan Committee, conditionally approving loan requests and communicating with senior credit staff for loan approvals.
- Mentoring and Training (5%): Provide guidance to less experienced credit analysts, assess their skills, and identify training needs.
- Agricultural Expertise (5%): Research and evaluate trends in agricultural enterprises, sharing insights with credit and market-facing staff.
- Monitoring Financial Compliance (10%): Evaluate compliance with financial covenants on high-risk accounts and initiate actions to address any non-compliance.
- Relationship Management: Engage in customer meetings to provide insights on financial trends and repayment capacity.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills

- Expertise in the agricultural industry and its current challenges.
- Strong knowledge of financial ratios and lending procedures.
- Skills in developing loan covenants and negotiating terms.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial documents.
