- Review daily schedule and complete daily audit.
- Conduct a thorough review of patient's health and dental history forms.
- Utilizing Dentrix, accurately chart each patient's periodontal health and dental conditions for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist.
- Take radiographs of patients as prescribed by dentist.
- Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis to patients.
- Perform scaling, root planing and polishing for patients.
- Administer local anesthetics using guidelines established by this practice.
- Apply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluorides and sealants.
- Take intraoral camera photos to aid in patient education.
- Communicate with patients in an understandable and professional way.
- Counsel patients on oral health, including oral hygiene techniques and nutrition.
- Schedule recare appointments with efficiency.
- Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist.
- CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
