We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Manager to lead our Rail Operations team in New Haven, CT. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our rail services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of our rail operations team, including direct reports and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the performance of key management personnel and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage contract administration, including negotiation and management of contracts with suppliers and vendors.
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in rail operations, maintenance, engineering, contract, and project management, with at least 8 years in a senior management capacity.
  • Knowledge of contract and project management within a rail environment.
  • Familiarity with labor relations and collective bargaining environments.
  • Ability to make presentations to senior leadership and public stakeholder groups.
  • Proven management and leadership skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service.
