Insurance Operations Director

SS&C is a global provider of investment and financial services and software for the financial services and healthcare industries. As a Strategic Business Leader for Insurance Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of services and client onboarding, while also playing a key role in sales and engagement with customers. You will work closely with the product roadmap team to drive functional breadth and depth for Insurance Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives around the delivery of services and client onboarding.
  • Be heavily involved in sales and engagement with customers.
  • Play an important role in the development of the product roadmap to drive functional breadth and depth for Insurance Operations.
  • Display in-depth knowledge of the Insurance market, insurance operations including accounting and regulatory reporting, the competitive landscape, and technology to make decisions that have significant, long-term impacts success and growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, accounting or related discipline.
  • 10+ years relevant experience working for an insurance company or financial institution.
  • Prior substantive management/supervisory experience is required.
  • Substantive knowledge of the insurance market and can provide ideas to generate business/sales.
  • Experience with project delivery and successful methodologies, ideally onboarding and/or implementing Insurance operations services.
  • Ability to work with clients and help sales.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to explain and discuss financial information/calculations to different audiences.
  • Ability to initiate and drive multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a strong control environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage activity with respect to tight client deadlines.
