Patient Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Safety Assistant to join our team at Foundation Health Services. As a Patient Safety Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and acknowledging patients, visitors, and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Conduct temperature screenings and monitor patients for signs of illness or injury, following established protocols and procedures.
- Transport patients safely and efficiently between departments, using proper transfer techniques and infection control procedures.
- Collect, clean, and disinfect patient care equipment and reusable items, and dispose of clinical waste properly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and support.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; BLS certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, with physical stamina to perform duties as required.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
- Previous experience in healthcare or customer service; knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
