Job Summary:

The Deputy Probation Officer II will be responsible for providing support to the Probation Department's operations, including conducting investigations, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigations and gather information to support Probation Department operations
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports
  • Provide support to Probation Officers and other department staff as needed
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with community partners and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • One year of work experience as a Deputy Probation Officer I or similar classification
  • Valid California driver's license required
  • Ability to pass a thorough background investigation
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information. The Deputy Probation Officer II will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
