Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to oversee existing business relationships and explore new avenues within current accounts, while also identifying and securing new opportunities in their designated region. This role involves direct sales of our innovative transfection technology products and services across a defined territory, catering to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, and governmental clients.

Geographic Focus: UK and Ireland

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve or surpass defined sales objectives for the assigned territory.
  • Foster and maintain robust relationships with current clients.
  • Identify and penetrate new accounts to drive sales growth.
  • Develop and implement a strategic territory management plan to optimize sales performance.
  • Promptly follow up on all sales inquiries and leads.
  • Provide precise sales forecasts weekly using our CRM platform.
  • Regularly update contact details and sales opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Conduct thorough research on accounts to understand their business operations and financial health, identifying key decision-makers.
  • Effectively communicate the advantages and capabilities of our technology.
  • Prepare and deliver quotations for our products.
  • Coordinate and facilitate demonstrations of our technology, collaborating closely with the applications team to ensure clear communication of its value to clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field.
  • Based in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience in the life sciences sector, specifically with tools for biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and research.
  • Recent experience in selling capital equipment valued at $100K or more to pharmaceutical and biotech organizations in Europe.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving sales success.
  • Established customer network in areas such as protein production, cell therapy, immunology, and high-throughput screening.
  • Strong skills in territory management and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Well-honed qualification skills and a comprehensive understanding of the sales process, with the ability to advance opportunities effectively.
  • Solid technical expertise in protein production, immunology, and cell-based assays.
  • Familiarity with transfection methods and technologies.
  • Proven ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating initiative and self-sufficiency to meet performance goals.
  • Capability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from laboratory scientists to executive leadership.

Compensation Structure

This position is eligible for bonus, equity, and commission opportunities.
