Job Description

At EVRAZ North America, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic leadership to General Supervisors and Asset Management Coordinators to maximize department performance.
    • Develop and implement departmental plans in partnership with the Maintenance Superintendent.
  • Reliability and Maintenance
    • Work with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations Departments to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
    • Participate in the development of design and installation specifications, commissioning plans, and acceptance tests.
    • Guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
  • Asset Management
    • Systematically define, design, develop, monitor, and refine an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes value-added preventive maintenance tasks and effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies.
    • Provide input to a Risk Management Plan that anticipates reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis
    • Develop solutions to repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect plant operations, including capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance issues.
    • Apply Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA), and/or Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Work with Production to perform analyses of assets, including asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life, or other parameters that define operating condition, reliability, and costs of assets.
    • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including managers, craftspeople, production employees, service providers, vendors, and other site visitors.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in Maintenance & Reliability management (Industrial).
  • 10 years' experience in people management, preferably leading leaders.
  • Maintenance and Reliability Professional certification is a plus.
  • 5 years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals, including a commitment to safety.
  • Demonstrated experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Extensive knowledge of Reliability Systems and Preventative/Predictive Maintenance programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, iB Analyzer or similar, and ERP experience (Oracle Preferred).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to organize information in a way that is detailed, clear, and understandable to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments and ensure others do the same.
