We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Services Representative Lead to join our team at UT Health San Antonio. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, coordinating staff activities, and ensuring efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication between primary care physicians, managed care plans, specialists, and patients regarding authorization for service and other insurance inquiries.
- Scheduling and Registration: Schedule appointments, greet patients, and perform registration and check-in/out functions; verify insurance benefits; assist with patient exams, tests, and procedures.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain various charts, records, and databases of patient information; prepare correspondence, billing, and reports.
- Authorization and Referrals: Provide authorizations, referrals, and general clerical support in a patient care environment.
- Training and Guidance: Train and provide guidance to staff and provide relief on a regular basis.
- Detail-Oriented and Organized: Ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes/other email software.
- Effective Communication: Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, to include writing and preparing memorandums, letters, and other official correspondence.
