Technical Applications Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Applications Manager to oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support of our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting applications.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify opportunities where technology can provide a more efficient and effective business solution.
  • Evaluate current technology effectiveness and make recommendations on the use of current technology and/or new technology to deliver a solution that improves productivity or enhances end user/guest experience.
  • Develop benefits analysis and cost comparison for proposed enhancements and upgrades.
  • Manage all vendor relations, including establishing and maintaining vendor relationships, contract negotiations, service delivery, contract compliance, and invoice reconciliation and processing.
  • Partner with vendors to develop short and long-term product roadmaps to ensure continuous improvement of applications.
  • Provide effective leadership and oversight to the team, providing clear direction and timely feedback to help employees be successful in their role.
  • Collaborate with the Director of IT Operations to ensure services meet the needs of the IT and organizational strategies.
  • Effectively facilitate meetings with employees from various organization levels, leveraging technology for content delivery.
  • Consistently collaborate with the IT Operations team members to solve complex procedural, operational, and technical problems.
  • Bring resolution to customer support issues, routed through ONE's Help Desk, by managing and resolving escalated tickets in a timely manner and within Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensure user access audits are completed routinely.
  • Ensure existing solutions and potential upgrades follow prevailing compliance standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technological and/or procedural developments and guide staff as appropriate in the use of new procedures and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline, and/or a minimum of 10 years of experience working in an IT environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of application development management experience.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and writing skills.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a multi-task environment.
  • Ability to interface with management and perform as a liaison between IT applications staff and the organization's business operations departments, as well as management teams.
  • Competency in application program code and design walk-through, and effectively providing constructive input for application improvements.
