Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure systems and networks to protect our customers' sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform security requirements analysis, security requirements definition, system security design, security architecture generation, security trade studies, and security verification and validation.
  • Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential security threats and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and recommend improvements to our security posture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
  • Experience with security frameworks, regulations, and standards, such as NIST, DoD, and DISA.
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active cybersecurity certifications, such as CISSP or CEH.
  • Experience with Linux systems and real-time and embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGs and DoD security tools.
