Job Description:
The Building Management System Account Executive is responsible for driving sales of BMS and integrated solutions to general contractors, mechanical contractors, commercial, industrial, higher education, and municipal clients.
This role involves identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that align with their goals and objectives.
The Account Executive will manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and solution development to presenting proposals, closing deals, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements strategic plans to drive sales growth and expand market share.
- Buils and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including building owners, general contractors, and architectural and engineering firms.
- Prospects, qualifies, and closes new opportunities, leveraging technical knowledge and industry expertise to create solutions that meet customer needs.
- Influences design and construction decisions with owners, contractors, and consultants, generating competitive, high-quality, and timely estimates, bids, proposals, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Negotiates and closes sales successfully, leveraging strong proposal development and writing skills to communicate effectively with customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or construction management.
- 3+ years of experience with Building Automation Systems and integrated systems industry or similar experience.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and understanding of the construction process and owner-direct negotiated process are essential.
- Successful experience selling traditional plan & spec bid and design-build projects to contractors and direct to owners.
- Strong initiative and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong proposal development and writing skills.
- Proven experience managing the development of complex project solutions, estimates, and proposals.
Salary: $105,000-$130,000 plus commission, depending on experience.
