Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Support the manager in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and service administration.
    • Assist with the selection, supervision, and development of nursing personnel.
  • Patient Care and Coordination
    • Collaborate with the manager to ensure understanding and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
    • Round on patients, teammates, and physicians to gain insight into patient care and department operations.
  • Staffing and Resource Management
    • Assist in evaluating progress towards goal attainment and disseminating information to teammates.
    • Coordinate management of patient flow and staffing through continuous assessment of volume and acuity needs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
  • Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • BSN required; RN candidates without a BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within one year of hire and complete the program within three years.
  • Appropriate professional certification within one year of eligibility.
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds.
  • Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch.
  • Finger dexterity.
  • Critical thinking and ability to concentrate.
Language

This role requires fluency in English.
