Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the station from start to finish, ensuring that all food products have been prepared correctly before cooking and are cooked consistently to perfection.
  • Complete shift work, as assigned, timely and thoroughly in accordance with department standards.
  • Clean and stock station and equipment thoroughly, as assigned, by the start of each shift.
  • Maintain appropriate portion-control and manage proper storing temperatures according to DOH regulations.
  • Control and limit waste, and follow proper rotation procedures according to DOH regulations.
  • Be a team player, supporting and assisting your fellow team members whenever possible, and communicate problems and ideas to the Chef, Sous Chef, and/or General Manager.
Requirements
  • Deliver timely and courteous service to LDV Hospitality guests in adherence to our company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to company, state, and county sanitation standards.
  • High attention to detail and ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction.
  • Able to work a flexible and variable schedule at times, including nights, weekends, and holidays, per the needs of the business.
  • Handle exposure to some chemicals and frying oil used.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by the management.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a line cook or sauté cook, having worked all stations. Fine dining restaurant experience a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
Work Environment

Able to withstand fluctuations in temperature within work environment, from high heat to below freezing, and perform essential job functions under pressure, maintaining professionalism when working under stress.
