About the Role

At Warsaw Federal Savings & Loan Associates, we are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for originating first mortgage loans and home improvement loans for consumers, promoting the association's Community Reinvestment Act loan program, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Originating Loans: Originate one-to-four family residential loans by engaging with customers and real estate professionals, and by promoting the association's loan products.
  2. Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries regarding loan products and applications, and provide timely and effective solutions.
  3. Compliance and Regulations: Stay up-to-date on government regulations and the association's policies and procedures regarding lending, and participate in quarterly compliance training.
  4. Community Outreach: Promote the association's Community Reinvestment Act loan program to real estate agents in low-to-moderate income neighborhoods.
  5. Sales and Marketing: Project a positive image of the association and make sales contacts by participating in community activities, organizations, and business-related functions.
  6. Cross-Selling: Cross-sell and keep up-to-date on the association's entire product line, including both lending and savings products.
  7. Vendor Management: Manage service providers and vendors effectively, and structure relationships in a strategic manner.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in sales, customer service, and mortgage lending is required.
  2. Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  3. Certification: NMLS certification is required.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software is required, and experience with Encompass, Cleartouch, and OnBase is preferred.
