Your Contribution:

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to provide support for our federal client. The ideal candidate will possess:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employing a comprehensive methodology to design, develop, assess, and enhance end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products throughout their entire lifecycle.
  • Creating measurable requirements based on client specifications, system planning, and acquisition logistics.
  • Verifying that requirements align with client expectations and government regulations through formal validation techniques.
  • Translating overarching product development strategies into system requirement specifications and collaborating with various engineering disciplines to formulate detailed implementation requirements.
  • Establishing and overseeing the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to overall product development.
  • Designing interfaces and integrating system components to function cohesively.
  • Evaluating performance using established criteria and technical performance metrics.
  • Acting as a liaison for clients and supporting business development initiatives to comprehend and refine requirements.
  • Engaging in system conceptual design and documenting design concepts.
  • Translating high-level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and working with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop detailed requirements.
  • Participating in design reviews of components (both hardware and software) to ensure relevance to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
  • Generating system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance testing protocols.
  • Reviewing test plans and procedures to ensure they meet contractual objectives and participating in the testing process to validate requirements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience, or 7 years of relevant experience.

- Must possess TS/SCI++ clearance.

Experience Required:
- Utilizing various project management methodologies (e.g., Spiral, Waterfall, Agile) in development efforts;
- Analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and providing lifecycle support for innovative hardware systems and applications;
- Conducting functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to convert client requirements into hardware and software specifications;
- Managing software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design methodologies and Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools;
- Estimating software development costs and timelines, reviewing existing programs, and assisting in refinements to enhance efficiency and improve current methodologies;
- Developing analytical and computational techniques and methodologies for problem-solving;
- Engaging in strategic systems planning, business information planning, and analysis;
- Applying business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and principles for business process modernization projects.

Knowledge Required:
- Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles;
- Understanding of the Intelligence Community;
- Knowledge of project management concepts and principles;
- Skills in project planning and management, including scope of work, time estimation, and resource allocation;
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities; capacity to create original concepts and theories for various projects;
- Expertise in technology design, including adapting equipment and technology to meet user needs;
- Proficiency in systems analysis and understanding how a system should function and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will impact outcomes;
- Skills in operations analysis and assessing needs and product requirements to create effective designs.
