AmeriQual is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Production Associates
    • Provide clear work directions, schedule tasks, and review reports and production documents to ensure efficient production processes.
    • Communicate regularly with internal departments, including Warehouse, Human Resources, and Quality Assurance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain Food Safety and Sanitation Standards
    • Ensure the company's high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness are maintained in all manufacturing facility areas.
  • Train and Develop Associates
    • Provide comprehensive training on production and manufacturing responsibilities and safety requirements to ensure associates are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor Production Lines
    • Regularly inspect production lines to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety procedures.
  • Identify Opportunities for Improvement
    • Identify areas for process improvements and collaborate with the team to implement changes that enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; a 2 or 4-year degree in industrial supervision, engineering, business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience
    • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing setting, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Skills
    • Strong computer skills, specifically MS Office, with experience in ERP/SAGE and Kronos a plus.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, can-do attitude.
    • Ability to lead and empower team members, encouraging employee engagement and a team mentality.

Physical Requirements

The position requires frequent visits to the production floor, where employees will be exposed to standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions. Additionally, employees will be working in an environment where nuts, fruits, and other allergens are present.
