Position Summary:The Cylinder Processing Technician plays a crucial role in the outdoor production area of the AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange facility. This position involves the meticulous handling and processing of propane cylinders, specifically 20 lb. barbeque grill cylinders.
Compensation: Starting rate is $17.00/hr, with comprehensive training provided for all new hires. This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team.

- Demonstrates high standards of professionalism and personal integrity, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
- Sort, inspect, clean, paint, label, and refill empty propane cylinders.
- Maintain a constant focus on safety and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure the quality and consistency of processed cylinders.
- Load filled cylinders onto trucks for subsequent shipments.
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Lift and handle 50-pound cylinders repeatedly during shifts.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean work environment.
- Ability to follow established processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Capacity to work effectively within a team-oriented production environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Basic mechanical skills and computer proficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and stand for 8-10 hours daily.
- Capability to obtain necessary state licensing and forklift certification.
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Work is conducted in an outdoor environment, subject to various weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice, and snow.
