Assistant Plant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join our team at Smithfield Foods. As a key member of our operations leadership, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Plant Manager in planning, leading, guiding, directing, and managing a large site, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.
- Establish Achievable Goals and track progress, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Monitor and Analyze Performance Metrics, including yields, labor, and expenses, to inform strategic decisions and drive business results.
- Train and Develop Support Staff, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Foster a Profitable Operation, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase revenue.
- Proven experience in a plant management or operations leadership role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
