The City of New York is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the Energy Efficiency and Modernization Unit. As the Unit Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the unit's activities and ensuring the successful implementation of energy efficiency projects across the city.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Evaluate and analyze energy efficiency reduction projects and programs funded by the capital and expense budgets
  • Monitor and review agency energy personnel across agencies
  • Review and evaluate agency fiscal requests and personnel requests, and formulate recommendations to ensure sufficient resource allocation
  • Monitor and review agency expense budgets, including conducting expenditure analyses and preparing analytical reports
  • Monitor and review agency capital budgets and prepare and update capital plans
  • Develop recommendations for fiscal and operational efficiencies
  • Acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of agency programs and operations
  • Oversee special projects related to agency programs and operations
  • Analyze legislative proposals and estimate their fiscal impact on operational policies
  • Provide written and verbal responses to requests for information from OMB supervisory staff, agencies, and City and State auditors

**Requirements**

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college

**Preferred Skills**

  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
