Paraprofessional Educational Support Specialist

Job DescriptionAs a Paraprofessional Educational Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students in achieving their educational objectives, adhering to their Individualized Education Plans, and developing essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities- IEP Support
You will work closely with the lead teacher to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal hygiene, and mobility.
- Classroom Support
You will collaborate with the lead teacher to manage classroom dynamics, deliver lessons, and facilitate instructional activities, promoting a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Personal Care and Behavioral Management
You will apply effective behavior management strategies to support students facing emotional or behavioral challenges, providing a stable and supportive environment for growth and development.
- Supervision and Support
You will oversee students during classroom activities, transitions, and recess, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being, and providing guidance and support when needed.
- Education and Certification
The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Paraprofessional license/certification in Massachusetts.
This full-time position is located onsite at a school in Dracut, MA, with an immediate start date.
