Job Summary

PennState Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in East Petersburg, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues using standardized microscopic, chemical, and/or bacteriological testing methods.
  • Ensure all testing is performed in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures, FDA, CAP, OSHA, CUA, and Joint Commission regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide accurate and reliable test results for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
  • Eligible to take the ASCP Board of Review exam for Medical Laboratory Technician certification.
  • Obtain MLT (ASCPM) or AMT certification within 6 months of hire.
