Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Technician III to join our team at Warm Beach Christian Camps. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities and grounds, including performing repairs, maintenance, and renovations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and follow safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Respond to guest needs and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist in overseeing new construction and building remodels, working closely with contractors and outside vendors as a representation of the camp.
  • Operate heavy equipment, including tractors, backhoes, Skid Steers, forklifts, and High Lifts, in a professional manner.
  • Maintain healthy lawns, including proper mowing height, fertilization, re-seeding, and weed control.
  • Design and maintain new landscaped areas, overseeing irrigation systems and winterizing all camp irrigation systems.
  • Supervise and train volunteers to complete projects as assigned, providing feedback to the supervisor on the condition of grounds and camp facilities.
  • Communicate equipment, repair, supply, and labor needs to the supervisor, being available for on-call/after-hours emergencies and participating in a rotation of weekend duty assignments.
Requirements
  • Perform quality rough and finish carpentry work, including sheet rocking and painting.
  • Make repairs to electrical systems, including new wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing systems.
  • Perform regular vehicle maintenance on camp vehicles, including oil changes and tune-ups, and make recommendations for further repairs.
  • Make repairs to the RV area water, sewer, and electrical systems.
  • Plan and oversee landscaping projects, including design, irrigation systems, outdoor lighting, tree care, and forest management.
