Job Summary

Community Health Centers, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures by taking vitals, obtaining medical histories, and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Clinical Support: Assist healthcare providers with tray set-ups, exams, and procedures, including giving injections, drawing blood, and performing new born screening.
  • Exam Room Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized exam room environment, restocking supplies as needed and reporting outdated materials to management.
  • Administrative Support: Answer telephones, schedule appointments, and record patient information, including scribing, compiling, and maintaining charts.
  • Communication: Interact with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and care coordination.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy certification and bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Skills: Demonstrated human relations and communication skills, basic computer skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: CPR certification and ability to pass CHC Competency assessments.
