Collaborative Psychiatrist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Collaborative Psychiatrist to join our team at Brave Counseling and Psychiatry. As a Collaborative Psychiatrist, you will work closely with Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to provide high-quality psychiatric care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise up to 6 PAs and NPs in a collaborative agreement
  • Meet with PAs and NPs for a minimum of 1 hour per week for the first 90 days to ensure a successful transition
  • Be available by phone, secure messaging, and/or video conferencing for case consultations and answer questions from PAs and NPs
  • Review 10% of charts, per collaborative PA/NP
  • Review and sign administrative documents for practice
  • Maintain Malpractice Insurance

Requirements:

  • Doctoral Degree in psychiatry (MD or DO and BC/BE in psychiatry)
  • Active, unrestricted license in the State of Missouri
  • DEA certified
  • Board Certified

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a psychiatrist
  • Supportive of PAs and NPs
  • Experience and enjoyment in supervising PAs and NPs in collaborative agreement
  • In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
  • Respect for patient's confidentiality
  • Compassionate and approachable
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Prior experience in a private practice setting
  • Have training and experience working with Neurodivergence / ADHD, PTSD/Trauma, Anxiety & Panic, Depression/Bipolar & Mood Disorders, and Women's Issues
