Job Title: Leasing/Lending Assistant

Job Summary:

The Leasing/Lending Assistant position at American National Bank is responsible for the solicitation, origination, underwriting, and administration of loans. This role involves managing an individual loan portfolio and maintaining customer relationships to meet the credit needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Interview customers and gather information to assess risk.
  2. Analyze overall risk in loan applications, within policy guidelines.
  3. Document loan decisions, within policy guidelines.
  4. Solicit and develop new business within the community.
  5. Evaluate, authorize, or recommend approval of commercial, real estate, or consumer and leases credit loans.
  6. Market the Bank's loan products to a diverse array of potential borrowers.
  7. Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and collateral evaluations to determine the feasibility of loan requests.
  8. Maintain a positive community presence.
  9. Perform all other duties as assigned and requested by Supervisor.
Requirements:
  1. Must be proficient with 10-key (by touch); alpha/numeric data entry; spreadsheets, word processing, basic typing; Presentations/PowerPoint.
  2. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  3. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or Board of Directors.
  4. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  5. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions and ratios to practical situations.
  6. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  7. Ability to utilize common sense understanding to carry out written, oral instructions.
  8. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This position requires regular sitting, standing, talking, or hearing; using hands to handle or feel; and frequently reaching with hands and arms. Occasional climbing or balancing may be required, and the ability to lift, move, push, or pull up to 10 pounds is necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and color vision. This is an indoor position with a moderate noise level.

Required Education and Experience:

A four-year college degree or equivalent experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, such as leasing, accounting, marketing, business administration, etc. Plus, five (5) years' related experience and/or training and two (2) years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
