Job Title: Engineering Technician I

Vector Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Technician I to join our team. As an Engineering Technician I, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the longevity of concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct condition assessments and investigations of structures to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with a team of technicians and engineers in the field to collect data and conduct testing.
  • Utilize non-destructive testing methods, such as ground penetrating radar and impact echo, to evaluate the condition of structures.
  • Gather field measurements and prepare accurate field notes and documentation.
  • Execute tasks promptly and professionally, adhering to VCS and industry safety standards.
  • Support the development and execution of the VCS Service Offering by conducting quality control testing and inspections of cathodic protection systems.
  • Oversee structural health monitoring installations and effectively operate various non-destructive testing equipment.
Requirements:
  • Travel is an essential aspect of this role, with an estimated 60-80% of time spent on the road within the US.
  • Engineering technician degree or certificate from a community college or technical school.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Preferred experience in general construction activities, civil/structural engineering, AMPP/NACE cathodic protecting technician, and NDT Level II certification.
