Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Operations and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Per Sé Group. As an O&M Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our combined cycle power plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure the plant operates at optimal levels, meeting or exceeding performance standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair of plant equipment, including instrumentation, control systems, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Plant Upsets and Emergencies: Respond promptly to plant upsets and emergencies, taking corrective action to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
- Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on plant procedures, environmental regulations, safety protocols, and operating data.
- Shift Work: Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in power plant operations and/or maintenance at a combined cycle power plant, as a qualified plant operator and/or maintenance technician.
- Skills: Experience with distributed control systems (DCS) and knowledge of combustion turbine generating stations, including balance of plant equipment.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer-based productivity tools.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50lbs, stand for long periods, walk, bend, climb ladders, and kneel.
