Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Practitioner

The Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the University of California San Francisco provides highly specialized, round-the-clock care for newborns, babies, and children who are critically ill with a heart condition. Our team of experts offers a level of care not available at many other children's hospitals, leading to better outcomes for our young patients.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children with heart conditions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, and manage complex medical conditions
- Develop and implement educational programs for patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Master's degree in Nursing with a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specialization
- Minimum two years of experience working as an RN in pediatric critical care or pediatric cardiology
- Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for position
- Ability to critically think and problem solve
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Three years of work experience as an NP in the Pediatric Cardiac ICU
