About the Role

In this dynamic position, the Assistant Manager- Breast Imaging (Ultrasound) will play a crucial role in the management and implementation of all Inpatient or Outpatient clinical services within the Department of Radiology.

As a technical expert, you will operate in a technical capacity for one or more imaging modalities, ensuring competency of departmental services and technical staff. You will facilitate imaging services schedules, evaluate and maintain appropriate staffing levels, and oversee the training of staff and student technologists.

Responsibilities include supporting the manager in performance management, scheduling, daily operations, hiring, performance feedback, annual competency evaluations, and other managerial functions. You will participate in planning and implementation of departmental objectives and goals, fostering an atmosphere of teamwork and commitment to patient care and staff development/retention.

Key responsibilities include overseeing employee schedules, time records/requests, and ensuring compliance with both hospital and departmental practices and protocols. You will enhance employee engagement and success within Medical Imaging Department, understand and contribute to all budgetary goals within the hospital and radiology department, and evaluate staffing levels and modify as needed.

This role requires a strong ability to distinguish between types of medical procedures and diagnoses, excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and decision-making skills. You will assist in training student technologists rotating through the department and require traveling to offsite locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree - or equivalent training acquired via work experience
  • 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARDMS) program
  • Completion of RDMS certification (ARDMS) licensure
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association only
  • EPIC, PAC experience or equivalent
  • Excel Proficient (intermediate)

  • 3-5 years management or lead experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • UKG scheduling or equivalent
