Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Ohio Department of Commerce. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to residents, including assessing and evaluating their needs, preparing and administering medications, and observing and recording their condition, progress, and response to treatment.
- Perform daily rounds and provide immediate medical attention to emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR.
- Responsible for resident assessments, including RN-specific assessments on admission, re-admission, quarterly, and as needed.
- Act as a lead worker and provide work direction to healthcare staff, including RNs, LPNs, and Hospital Aides.
- Schedule, assign, and review work, delegating personnel based on the needs of residents and individual capabilities of staff.
- Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio, as issued by the Board of Nursing per Section of Ohio Revised Code.
- Knowledge of professional registered nursing procedures, state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures related to nursing, public relations, employee training and development, and inventory control.
- Ability to deal with some abstract but mostly concrete variables, write meaningful, concise, and accurate reports, gather, collate, and classify information about data, people, or things, and demonstrate physical fitness.
May be required to stand for extended periods of time, lift patients and heavy objects, and be exposed to a variety of bodily fluids and infectious diseases from residents. May also be required to work weekends and mandatory overtime.
