Job Overview

Kiewit Power Engineers is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Substation team in the Power Delivery department in Denver, CO.

As part of this team of highly specialized design professionals, you will support a variety of substation, transmission, and distribution projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV in both engineering detailed design and Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) projects for clients throughout the country.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall project coordination and engineering oversight on assigned substation projects.
  • Develop specifications for the procurement, installation, and testing of substation equipment.
  • Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
  • Communicate and coordinate project activities with project managers, customer representatives, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • At least seven years' experience performing engineering-related duties.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English language.
